My journey in finding the pretty in turning 50 continues….
This week I had a little help in finding the pretty. Tessa found our first pretty for the week. One morning she called me into the laundry room to show me how pretty her dress was with the sunlight streaming through it – she was right!
January 18 – Day 12
January 19 – Day 13
A pretty vintage tablecloth on my kitchen table. Every table deserves a pretty tablecloth!
January 20 – Day 14
I always have 2-3 bowls of fruit on my kitchen counter and table. Fruit is just too pretty to be kept in the refrigerator.
A pile of prettiness in my sewing room. Remember those pretty reusable grocery bags I showed you the other day? Well, due to popular request I may just have made up a bunch this week that will be for sale soon – if you are interested leave me a comment or drop me an email! I promise – they’ll be pretty!!
January 22 – Day 16
Everyone needs a calendar, right? The rule at our house is it must be a pretty one. Isn’t this one darling? I bought it from Sarah Jane Studios. She is a children’s illustrator and I love, love her work! She has them on sale right now for 50% off so they are only $12.00. What an amazing price for so much pretty. If you buy one tell her Leigh Anne at Your Homebased Mom sent you over! This calendar hangs in my office – I’ll share the pretty one in my kitchen next week!
January 23 – Day 17
Tessa and I went out for our Saturday morning breakfast adventure this week and she ordered hot chocolate. I think it is one of the prettiest hot chocolates I have seen ! I just wish it had tasted as good as it looked…
January 24 – Day 18
I’ve been using Tessa as my practice model for my photography class. Isn’t she pretty!!
So where did you find the pretty this week?

I love the idea of finding pretty things for each day of the week! I’m going to copy it and start doing it for everyday of the year for my blog! I love Sarah Jane illustrations! And Belle and Boo too. Tessa is a lovely model with a good eye on that dresses glow!
Those tangerines look delicious, I’m going to go have one of ours for breakfast!
Thanks for the inspiration!
I love all your pretty for the week. Your daughter is beautiful.
Love your pretties for the week. Cool picture of the hot chocolate and
Tessa by far is the prettiest!!! I hope your loving your photography class.
My favorite colors is Blue and Pink. I’m coming for Celebrate Portland could you tell me how much you want for them and I will bring you some money for one of them. I’m in Cathy Keathley’s group. Thanks for all the pretty things you have showed us. Your tableclothe makes me think of my grandmother that she gave me years ago.
I have a soft spot for vintage tablecloths, too. Yours is very pretty.
As for Tessa, is she ever not pretty? Even your pics taken when she first wakes up in the morning (birthday, Christmas) she is so very pretty!
The sun broke through the clouds a bit this morning, just as I was headed to church. It lit up the pendulous drops of water from the earlier rain, that were clutching our Japanese maple. It looked as if it was strung with delicate lights! Very pretty.
All of your pretties this past week were definitely pretty! I just spent 10 minutes peeking at Sarah Jane Studios etsy shop and I love the sweetness to all of her work. I love little details and she definitely has an eye for them.
Something so simple as photographed fruit always makes me smile, great capture of color and light. I never know what fruit I can leave out and what needs to be kept in the fridge. Luckily both of my kiddos love all things fruit so nothing lasts more than four days in our house! It looks like your clementines are safe… how long do they last at room temperature?
What a great way to really see the things that are around us! I might have to start journaling/recording the pretty things I see too!
I am very inspired by your pretties. I just love taking a moment to enjoy the beauty of the little things. I am interested in your reusable bags. I too will be at Celebrate although I am not in a hurry for the bags so no rush for me. How much will you be asking? What is their measurements?
To me one of the priettest things was seeing the spires of the Richland Temple as we traveled there yesterday–a beacon in a busy city reminding us to slow down and appreciate what is truly ipmortant in life–our families and God. I’d love a bag too. Please let us know the price. THANKS!
I loved all of your pretties this week!
I am interested in your reusable bags too! I was hoping you might sell some. Sign me up for 2!
I love the vintage tablecloths !! Just saw a couple in a peddler’s mall over the weekend. I think I’ll go back and pick one up ! I am also interested in the pretty grocery bags, so please let me know when you have some for sale. You have a gorgeous daughter and she has a beautiful smile !! Thank you so much for sharing. Love your site !
