doTERRA Essential Oils Giveaway}Family Physician Kit

{Giveaway Closed}

For the last few weeks I have been sharing with you something that I love in each of my Saturday Meal Planning posts.  Today I am excited to share with you and giveaway one of my favorite things – essential oils.  I began using essential oils a few years ago.

When I first learned about them my first thought was “I’m healthy, what do I need with essential oils?”  I am rarely sick and the only trip I make to the doctor’s each year is to see my OBGYN for my yearly exam.   But I decided to give it a try.  I purchased the doTERRA Family Physician Kit which contains 10 different essential oils and blends.  I didn’t think there was any way I was going to use all the different oils but guess what?  I did!  I used them all and began using even more oils than came in the kit.  I was able to replace so many things in my medicine cabinet with a natural, safer and less expensive alternative – essential oils!

Today I want to give you the opportunity to give essential oils a try so I am giving away a Family Physician Kit which is a $166.00 value.  The kit includes 5 mL Essential Oils: Lavender, Lemon, Peppermint, Melaleuca, Oregano, Frankincense, Deep Blue®, Breathe, DigestZen®, and On Guard to help families address a multitude of health issues.

In addition to the kit I will add in a Modern Essentials book ($25.00 value) which is the essential oil bible – it tells you what oils to use for what condition.  It’s all you really need in order to learn how to use essential oils.

Even though I didn’t think I would use all the oils, I did and here is one of my favorite ways I use each of the oils (there are many more!)

Lavender – I always keep a bottle in my kitchen because it is wonderful for burns – takes the sting right out and helps prevent blistering.  It also helps you sleep better!

Lemon –  This oil is anti-bacterial so putting a drop in your mouth every day will help keep you healthy, especially during cold and flu season

Peppermint – This oil is great for headaches, fevers and to keep you awake when you are feeling a little drowsy.

Melaleuca – My girls use this when they get a zit.  Just apply a drop right to the skin issue and it’s gone in the morning.  Cali also recently used Melaleuca on her tongue to get rid of a sore throat.

Oregano – This oil has great anti-fungal properties so it is great for getting rid of things such as athletes foot.

Frankincense – The king of all oils is great for just about everything.  Jim used this in combination with lavender to reduce scaring and help an incision heal after the removal of a skin pre-cancerous growth.  The doctor couldn’t believe how well the incision had healed in just two weeks – it thought it had been two months!

Deep Blue – This is the oil that converted my husband to essential oils.  Deep Blue is great for muscle aches and pains.

Breathe –  Jim uses this every night on the bridge of his nose to help open up his air passage and breath better at night.  Great for anyone with congestion, allergies, asthma etc.

Digest Zen – Another big favorite at our house.  Cali who has a lot of food sensitivities and digestive issues LOVES this oil and uses it all the times.  Just rubs it on her tummy for instant relief.  Great for constipation, diarrhea , nausea, so many things!

OnGuard – This oil is a must during flu and cold season.  It is awesome.  Take it daily to prevent colds and flu and when you start getting sick double up on the dosage to stop it in it’s tracks!

I could go on and on about these oils and so many mores (can you tell that I love them).   Two of my favorite oils aren’t in the Family Physician Kit but they are Balance and Serenity.  I use them on a daily basis and thanks to them I sleep better and deal with stress and tension better!!

If you’d like to know how I use oils on a daily basis check out this post I wrote a year ago.  I use even more oils now.

I also have a special BOGO free offer going on my Your Homebased Health Facebook page.   Buy one essential oil and you will get another of the same or lesser value for free!  To take advantage visit Your Homebased Health Facebook Page and leave me a message on Facebook.  This offer is good through Saturday or until I hit a certain dollar volume.  So don’t delay if you want in on this offer.

I have just started using essential oils and was under the impression that none of these could be taken internally. I have had (and am still having) so many problems with doctors who are nothing but glorified pill pushers, that I have begun educating myself on more natural remedies. I would love a doTerra physician pack to help me with my goal of a healthier lifestyle for myself and my family.

Melanie, there are a lot of EO that can not be taken internally. The reason is they are not 100% pure essential oil – they have put in fillers and other things. DoTERRA essential oils are 100% pure Therapeutic grade and can be taken internally. There are a few oils that are considered “hot” oils that should not be taken internally (they will come with a safety cap on them) Let me know if you’d like any more info.

I’m just beginning to explore EO for sleeping and digestion issues. Most importantly, I have a sweet little dog that had a sever health implication past year and we are trying to find new ways to treat her, and I have ordered EO for her treatment. I have also found a Vet that works with olistic treatment and essential oils that we will be visiting next week.

I have recently started using essential oils for many things. The best thing I have treated so far was major chest congestion with a blend of eucalyptus, thyme and peppermint in a coconut oil beeswax base. My son slept through the night! I am looking forward to the day i open my medicine cabinet and it’s filled with wonderful natural concoctions!
