Cupcake Tutorial

My friends Kris and Kim of You Can Make This have started a fun new project.  The DIY Dish is an amazing new video blog where Kris and Kim share lots of fun and creative projects.

I was so excited when they contacted me last week and invited me to participate in a project with them.

Today you are going to get to view my very first video blog post!!  Kris and Kim asked me to put a video together to share with you and their readers some of my cupcake decorating tips and ideas!  This was a bit of a stretch for me but so fun!  Just remember it’s my very first video so there is definitely room for improvement! Be kind!  Thanks to my daughter Tessa who was my camera girl!

Don’ miss my favorite Buttercream Frosting Recipe.  For some wonderful cupcake recipes just type cupcakes into the search box on the right hand side for a great selection – the Perfect Lemon Cupcake is one of my favorites!

I’ve already got some ideas for some future videos!  So I hope you enjoy it.  After you watch it be sure and head on over to The DIY Dish to enter their great giveaway.  See below for info on what to do!

ProvoCraft and “The DIY Dish!” are giving away a Cricut Cake machine!  I own a Cricut Inspiration and have so much fun with it – cutting out all kinds of fun things.  The new Cricut Cake is actually food safe and you can use it to cut things such as fondant!

Here are the 4 ways you can enter to win! Each item below will have your name placed into the drawing.

1.  Make a comment at the DIY Dish

2.  “Tweet” about this giveaway on Twitter! Be sure to include @theDIYdish, @provocraft

3. Embed the “DIY DISH” webisode featuring the Cricut Cake on your blog! Be sure to include this link: http://bit.ly/new_cricut_cake and let your friends know they could win a Cricut Cake!

4. Watch my video here at Your Homebased Mom and Brooke at Cheeky Kitchen where we share video tutorials and tips for making the perfect cupcake or cake! Come back to the DIY Dish and post a comment about something you learned from Brooke and myself.
