I have heard from many of you that you enjoy printing off the recipes I share and that you have a whole binder full of Homebased Mom recipes! I love hearing that.
I’m excited to let you all know about a new feature at Your Homebased Mom. Now I have a new way for you to save all the recipes you find here on the blog and it’s called Ziplist. It’s your own personal online recipe box. How cool is that!?
Thanks to a partnership with Ziplist, the same company who powers the recipe boxes behind MarthaStewart.com, WholeLiving.com and WomansDay.com (not to mention a lot of other of my favorite food bloggers), you can save recipes from any of those sites as well as mine and the recipes all get saved to the very same recipe box.
You still have the option to print them as well.
So things may look a little bit different.
Now with each recipe you will see a print button as well as a Save Recipe button.
Just click on the Print if you want to print off a hard copy to put in your recipe files or you can start an online recipe file by clicking Save Recipe
Next you will be asked to establish an account – it’s easy, just your name and a password.
Then you can save the recipe to your own online recipe box!

The other cool thing? It will generate a shopping list for you!!
It will then let you know which things you probably need to buy and which items you may already have on hand at home. You can then email this list to yourself or print off a copy to take to the store with you.
You can also access the Recipe Box and Shopping List in my navigation bar – right next to the Recipe Index.
I’ll be working on making all look a little bit prettier but it’s ready for you to use right now. Let me know what you think and how you like it and start saving those recipes!! Have fun!

What a great idea Leigh Anne! Thanks for always making our lives easier and more fun…xxoo
We really like the feature that produces a shopping list for you. Gone will be the days when you get everything except that one package of panko breadcrumbs to make a meal you had planned!
What a great idea.
I’ve been using Ziplist for quite a while now. I love it. So convenient and easy to use. I’m not wasting paper printing anymore…. not to mention I can always remember where I put that recipe I was going to try
Thank you Ziplist, I really love these saving stuff. With this I can find my list recipes in one place and it’s organize as well. No more old cooking list that gets scattered all over the place.

I’m so excited about this new Ziplist! I have been collecting your recipes for years and my binder is getting really full. This will be fabulous. I can’t wait to use it. Thanks for sharing! Cathy B.

I’ve been hoping you would do use them for a while but I wasn’t sure how much work it would take on your part, and didn’t want to aks for more than the abundance you already share with us of your time and efforts! I’m excited to be able to be at the store and see for instance strawberries on sale think about your strawberry pie and be able to pull up the recipe list and only have to make one trip to the store. This program is wonderful I am SO excited to have your recipes so close by! Thank you again for all you do!!
I am so glad you shared this! I needed something like this. You Rock!!
Hi Leigh Anne! I love the new zip list feature! I’m wondering if it is available to use on all your recipes, or just the new ones since tis announcement? Thanks so much!!!
Right now it is only available on recipes I have posted since I added it – one of my goals is to go back through old posts and add it but it will take me a while!!
