Congratulations to #99 LaTanya who has won herself a copy of Emeril’s new cookbook!  Wonder what she’ll grill first!

Send me your mailing information LaTanya and the publisher will get the book mailed right out to you!

Several weeks ago I shared a recipe from a new cookbook  Emeril at the Grill: A Cookbook for All Seasons.  We loved his Grilled Marinated Flank Steak with Chimichurri Sauce.

 emeril-at-grill

The publisher had sent me a copy of the cookbook to preview and share a few of the recipes here on the blog.  They also agreed to give me a second copy so I could do a giveaway with one.  I love mine so much I didn’t want to give it up!

So today you have an opportunity to win a copy of  Emeril at the Grill: A Cookbook for All Seasons.   I am loving this cookbook and have marked dozens of recipes to try.  This cookbook would be a perfect Father’s Day gift – even if your husband doesn’t cook!

Remember my last giveaway?  Yes, you really came through for me and there were 228 entries.  Thank you!

So do you think we can break that record with this giveaway ?  I know you can do it!

To enter just leave a comment below letting me know what your favorite thing is to throw on the grill!

We are enjoying 80 degree weather here in Portland so it is definitely grilling weather.  I will be sharing another recipe from the cookbook on Wednesday so stay tuned and be sure and enter the giveaway!!!

The giveaway will be open until Friday, May 22nd  at midnight PST.

I love to make pizza on the grill. It always looks and tastes great and my guests are always impressed. But, I also make it for my family all the time. If you’ve never tried it, check out http://www.ourbestbites.com for their tutorial and awesome recipe for Asian BBQ Chicken Pizza.

I love tri-tip as well – didn’t know it was a California thing though!!!

20 LuAnne May 18, 2009 at 11:31 am

Our favorite thing on the grill is chicken. We enjoy using grilling planks. My husband loves to grill. We try to grill outside during the summer so we don’t over heat our home when the temps outside can reach 115 degrees. Have great opportunities to use the grill year round with our arizona weather.

21 Karen D. May 18, 2009 at 11:32 am

I love grilled corn on the cob, chicken breasts, kabobs, and burgers. I also like to make shredded potatoes and onions wrapped in foil.

28 Heidi May 18, 2009 at 12:46 pm

I grill 2-3 times a week during the summer. Lots of chicken, lots of pizza (probably the all time favorite around here). I’m pleased to say that I’m finally better at grilling than my hubby!

Yeah, we love shish kabob as well.
Chunks of beef marinated in red wine vinegar, garlic salt and pepper, tiny bit of oil. Grape tomatoes, onions, green peppers, mushrooms also marinated. When it’s all done – we eat it with syrian flat bread. Just roll up a veggie and a piece of beef. Totally scrumptious!

52 Michelle Wilkes May 18, 2009 at 2:29 pm

53 Eden May 18, 2009 at 2:55 pm

I KNOW my husband would absolutely love an excuse to use the grill more often. Even if we don’t win the book, I should let him grill more often. Guess I’ll see if the library has the book.

54 Linda M. May 18, 2009 at 3:02 pm

My favorites? A toss-up between cedar planked salmon OR marinated flank steak. Yummers!

55 Rebecca O'Bryan May 18, 2009 at 3:05 pm

Although most grilled items are delicious, no matter what they are, recently I have been testing out recipes that are vegetarian as a few people in my family have decided to stop eating meat. Turns out just about any vegetable can be thrown on a shish kabob and takes just about amazing. (Favorites include: squash, onion, tomatoes, and cauliflower)

56 Jessica H. May 18, 2009 at 3:08 pm

I really love a beautifully marinated chicken breast – or even better yet, pineapple. This is probably my favorite grilled item!

57 Wendy May 18, 2009 at 3:13 pm

I love to do fish on the grill–it keeps the odor outdoors. Actually, I love nearly everything on the grill (and not only because it’s the one time my husband helps with dinner, although that’s a great perk!)

58 Shawna May 18, 2009 at 3:24 pm

Steaks would be my absolute favorite! Grilled veggies aren’t too bad either! :)

91 Ellen May 19, 2009 at 6:38 am

I think my family would say grilled vegetables. After they are grilled, I take them and rough chop them, toss them in a hot pan with olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper and toss with pasta….yummmmmyyyyy!!!!!

We also love artichokes. We had these for the first time at at the Hitching Post from the movie “Sideways”. They are amazing and I highly recommend trying their seasoning on them and their sauce. You can buy both online at their website. I think we had these 3 times last week when my daughters came home from college…..they couldn’t get enough.

And of course….there is nothing like a burger and a hot dog “HOT OFF THE GRILL”.

Yummmmmmm…..now I’m hungry!

My new favorite thing to grill is flank steak. Thanks
to you, Leigh Anne! For Mother’s Day I had my husband
grill the Emeril recipe that you posted, “Marinated Flank Steak with Chimmichurri Sauce.” Yum! It was really good. Then this Sunday, after church, we grilled
another flank steak using the Pioneer Woman’s “Marinated
Flank Steak” recipe. Another really good one! With it we had corn on the cob and asparagus.

I actually love corn on the grill!!!

120 Laurie Bishop May 19, 2009 at 11:36 am

Wow – I feel like a grilling slacker after reading 118 posts. Thanks to all those who commented for their WONDERFUL ideas. At present, we typically grill hamburgers and the occasional steak. Now I’m dying to try pineapple – do I just throw slices on the grill, or….??

I collect cookbooks – would love to have an Emeril one – but either way, I’m just happy that the grilling world has just opened up for me.

121 Joanne May 19, 2009 at 11:40 am

127 Elisa May 19, 2009 at 1:15 pm

We grill at least twice a week during the summer months…I just love being outside in the afternoons. As for what we grill, we’re just a simple cheeseburger family…and since it’s elk meat, which is much leaner than beef, we don’t feel so bad when we eat cheeseburgers every week! We also grill our steaks, too. I LOVE our grill – it’s one of the Weber charcoal BBQ’s that has the gas flame igniter. So our coals are ready to grill on in under 8 minutes!

128 Faye May 19, 2009 at 1:19 pm

We love hamburgers and would love to receive this cookbook so we would have more recipes to try.

129 Sara May 19, 2009 at 2:02 pm

133 Angela M May 19, 2009 at 2:49 pm

We like to grill a nice piece of Sockeye or any other Pacific wild salmon when it’s available in AZ. We start out by putting a piece of cedar plank in water for 20 minutes. Then we lightly clean off the salmon & pat it dry with a paper towel, we add misquite seasonings, Kosher salt, organic no-salt seasonings, sprinkle brown sugar on top & spray lightly with olive oil. Grill on med. heat on a gas grill for approx. 15 minutes until the salmon flakes when forked.

134 Susan May 19, 2009 at 3:11 pm

Burgers

135 Liz L. May 19, 2009 at 3:12 pm

Best grilling is when I can go out to the garden in back and bring in some potatoes, corn and tomatoes that I have grown to the grill along with some fat, sassy hamburgers that have been seasoned with dry onion soup mix and worchestershire sauce. Also at the last minute rub some hamburg rolls with fresh garlic cloves and pop on the grill for a quick toast.
