Jim and I spent a great weekend with all three of our college kids!
We were able to celebrate Cali’s 19th birthday with her. Her birthday is actually today – Happy Birthday Cali!
We love you, Cali, and are so grateful that we were chosen to be your parents and that you were sent to our home. You are truly a blessing to our family. We miss your spirit, love of life and energy in our home.
Even though we miss you terribly, seeing you growing and thriving at college makes us so happy!
We were able to celebrate her birthday with the boys by enjoying a yummy Italian dinner at her favorite restaurant in Provo. The accordion player and waiters sang a Happy Birthday to her! (Yes, it was Halloween night so the waiters were dressed up in costume!)
Another highlight of the weekend was seeing our oldest son Logan perform. For the last four years Logan has been part of the BYU’s Young Ambassadors. This year he is serving as President of the group.
The show was amazing and of course – so was Logan!! I was one proud mama as I sat in the audience and watched him sing and dance his heart out! I must admit it is also very fun to be in an audience that is yelling, cheering and clapping for your son!!
The last number of the show is from Tarzan and Logan gets to walk around on stage on stilts as a tree!
Of course we followed my list of Top Tips for Visiting Your Children at College by taking them shopping, feeding them and putting gas in their car. I forgot the tip about getting lots of rest before I go so I am in desperate need of a nap! I also didn’t forget the tip about taking them treats except this time my college care package was a little bit different.
Come back tomorrow and I’ll share it with you!
This mom of college kids needs a nap!!

Happy Birthday Cali!
You have the best MOM and DAD in the world. Wait, you already knew that didn’t you?
You have a BEAUTIFUL family!
You have a beautiful family. You all should come and visit us here in Connecticut. Something tells me we would be great friends in real life as well as the blogging world.

I would love to visit!! I KNOW we would be great friends in person! I love the East Coast and hope to visit out there again in the next year or two. We love NYC and the Broadway shows! Who knows maybe Logan will end up out east after he graduates? Conneticut will definitely be a stop we make!! Thanks Rhonda!
