Cake Pop Surprise

by Leigh Anne on April 27, 2009

Just a quick post today while I recover from my 1,600 mile road trip. We just returned from our drive to and from Utah for Logan’s college graduation. We brought back two of the college students home with us – yeah!

I’ll share a little about graduation tomorrow after I get a little sleep and get the two college students moved back in!

I wanted to share with you a darling little gift I found waiting for me last week after I was gone for the weekend with girlfriends.

Cake Pops

My sweet friend Karen M. left this darling little bucket of lemon cake pops for me.

Not only were they in a cute little metal bucket but she had hand stamped a darling tag that was attached, tied each pop with ribbon and made beautiful fondant flowers for the top! They were almost too cute to eat.

I told Karen she needed to give me dipping lessons because hers looked so much better than mine!! I also want a fondant lesson from her.

Cake Pops

Thanks Karen for your darling and thoughtful treat!!

My SIL gave me a cake pop tutorial while I visited her in DC last week. I had a hard time dipping mine at first too! I’m going to follow my SIL’s lead and do a cake pop class for enrichment. I love all of the ideas for decorating them! Thanks for sharing this!!!

Oh gee, you’re just killing me with such lovely little treats. Please send some to our house. We’ll take all the rejects and mistakes, gladly … ha ha

very cute! looks like something I could become obsessed with, trying to make them cuter and cuter and not realizing the hours going by! I better wait until summer vacation.

Can I come over for lessons too? Soon I’ll at least be in your neck of the woods and it might be a possibility.

I tried to make these last Sunday, after reading about yours. Mine are not nearly so cute. I want to get some lessons/attend an enrichment about them, too. They tasted good, though!
