Blog Awards and a New Look!

Melanie over at My Kitchen Cafe   Melanie is one of my “go to” food blogs – her recipes are always great and she is a sweetie!  When I was on my almond sugar cookie search she came through for me!

Rachelle at Fashionably Foodie  Rachelle is a fantastic cook and we have a lot of things in common – I know if we lived closer or even in the same country we would be great friends!

Kate and Sara at Our Best Bites  I love their site and their recipes.  Their tastes and style are very similiar to mine.  Loved every one of their recipes I have tried.

Laura at Organizing Junkie  Laura was one of my first blogging friends and she very graciously answered my beginner questions.  She is an organizer extraordinaire!!  If you  have any organizing questions she can answer them!

Sherra over at Sherra Life Lesson  Sherra and I have been friends for 15 years and I will take full credit for inspiring her to start her own blog!!  She is the funniest person I know – really!!  Check out her blog and you will see why!!  She and I recently started a new blog together  -iLashGirls – check it out too!  Be sure and check out the site today for our Sunday Surprise Giveaway!

I’d love to give this award to some of the blogs I read on a regular basis.  Ones I watch for in my Google Reader to see if they have been updated.

The first blog I look at each morning is C Jane Enjoy it -it is a blog written by the sister of Stephanie Nielson.  Stephanie and her husband Christian were seriously injured in a plane crash earlier this summer.  Courtney has taken their children into her home to care for while they recover.  Courtney is a beautiful writer and her posts never fail to inspire me, to help me keep things in perspective and motivate me to be better each and every day – Courtney I know your life is full to overflowing and I so appreciate you sharing it with the rest of us!

Simple Mom is another great blog I like to read.  Lots of great tips for living life a little more simply.  Couldn’t we all use a little bit more of that!?

Rhonda over at Because Mom Said So is the one of the very first bloggers I ever emailed!  She is an “older mommy blogger” like myself.  I love reading about her fun and crazy life out there on the East Coast.  And, Rhonda, I’m taking notes about all that wedding planning you’ve done!  I’ll be coming to you for help (that is if I can get my boys to go on a date first!)

Melissa  at The Inspired Room never fails to inspire me with her beautiful photos and posts about creating a beautiful home!  She’s a Portland girl, just like me!!  Thank you Melissa!
