We are enjoying our Week at the Beach!
I just had to leave a quick post to share this year’s beach read.
What could be better than a beautiful sunset on the beach and a good book!?
Thanks to my friend Jane I am enjoying both. Thanks Jane for your recommendation and for sharing your copy of the book.
If you are a Jane Austen fan you will want to check out Georgette Heyer’s novel Frederica. This book is part of the Regency Historical Romance Novels – not to be confused in anyway with the Harlequin Romance series!
Frederica and the Regency Romance series are set in the early 19th Century and if Frederica is any indication I can’t wait to read my next one!
If you need another summer beach read recommendation be sure and check out my all time favorite beach read.
What are you reading this summer?
Happy reading!

Every summer toward the end, our family has “beach week”- never mind that we are in the middle of Oklahoma and nowhere near a beach, but we act like we are.
You are having the real thing! A real beach week!
Happy 4th- hope you are having a wonderful time!
“The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society”
By mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. Delightful, You’ll want to plan your trip to Guernsey when you finish reading it !
I’ve jotted it down. Now, on my wish list.
Happy 4th!
I’ve been in a reading slump, mysteries are my choice. Good reads are hard to find and they are getting predictable. I was just complaining the other night that I can’t find anything that makes me forget the world around me. I will try your beach read maybe a change of genre will oil the cogs of my imagination. Thanks for the suggestion.
Leigh Anne, Just had to post a comment. From your recommendation, I reserved Frederica from my local library and picked it up today. Looking forward to some fun reading this weekend!
