Back to School Breakfast

School starts for my college girls on Monday, August 27th. Just 3 days after our Wedding Carnival. It’s going to be a crazy weekend. This next Sunday we will pile everything we can into our car and the girls and I will drive to Provo, Utah. Yes, that is about 36 hours after the Wedding Carnival.  We will be getting Tessa to her new college apartment a mere 12 hours before she starts her first class. We’ll all a little stressed about this and I don’t think there will be time for a First Day of School Breakfast for my girls before we leave but I hope to pull one together for the neighbor kids the following week since school doesn’t start here until after Labor Day.

Today I thought I’d share a few links with you to some of our past Back to School Breakfasts. It’s a fun tradition to do for just your own kids or invite some of their friends or neighbors.

Last year we celebrated the first day of school with all the neighbor kids since none of my kids were home.

Back to School – 2011

We hosted a make your own Waffle Bar and the kids loved it.

Back to School 2010

This year it was my baby’s last year of high school and we decided to invite a couple of her good friends to join us for our Back to School Breakfast.

They loved being waited on and spoiled and toasting to a great senior year with a bit of OJ.

Setting the table is half the fun!

Back to School Breakfast is definitely one tradition I wish I had started earlier with my kids  but thank goodness I have neighbor kids who let me spoil them a bit!!

Do you have any special back to school traditions?

    Hi Leigh Anne,
Would you please post the recipes for the quiche and blueberry muffins AFTER everything you are still trying to get done and you can put your feet up and relax. I know that the wedding carnival is going to be amazing. Thanks.
