I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family or friends.
I just wanted to take a quick moment in between all the cooking and fun to share a few things I am thankful for today. I won’t bore you with the whole long list but just a few:
- I am thankful that I get to set at least 6 plates at my dinner table all this week (more on the nights we have friends or other family over!)
- I am thankful that all 6 members of my family are tucked safe and sound in their beds under one roof again!
- I am thankful for my huge grocery bill this week because it means I have lots of mouths to feed and I am grateful we have lots of good food to share.
- I am thankful for a pile of shoes at my front door!

- I am thankful for you – all of my blog readers. I am thankful that you take time out of your day to read my blog and that many of you take the opportunity to leave me comments!
Count your blessings! Please share something you are thankful for today!

it’s so good to pull out the snippets of life’s moments and keep our perspectives on the smaller beauties… like piles of shoes! I know just what you mean.
…God’s blessings to you and yours also…. I understand what you mean having the chicks in the nest… My son was in Iraq last Thanksgiving… we are so happy to have him home this year
I am thankful for your blog. I came here to grab a recipe for today! But each time I read it, I find you so inspiring and uplifting. Have a wonderful holiday with your beautiful family
I am thankful for a happy household and for thoughtful grandchildren who have brought home from college friends from foreign lands to join us today for our traditional feast.
Hi Leigh Ann,
I can’t remember if I’ve ever left you a comment or not….but Your blog is saved on my bloglines! Your blog is an inspiration to me. You are the kind of mom that I want to be. I love how you serve your family. Thank you for being you and for sharing yourself on this blog!
Enjoy your family!!
The picture of the shoes at the front door touched me. I am gratful there are many pairs of little shoes at my front door tonight (all 7 grandchildren are here with me). I’m grateful for my family, my faith, and the challenges that have taught me great lessons the past few years. I’m grateful for inspiring women like YOU who encourage us to be better and make the world a more enjoyable place. ENJOY EACH OF YOUR PRECIOUS FAMILY MEMBERS!
