Yesterday we continued a 25 year old family tradition- having our family picture taken with Santa. We alway visit the real Santa too, the Santa at Macy’s in downtown Portland. I must admit my 23 and 25 year old boys did give me a bit of a hard time this year as they stood in line with dozens of children ten and under! The main reason I eat pancakes is so that I can have syrup. Is there any other reason? We always serve pancakes at our annual Breakfast with Santa. Usually we have the choice of homemade jam, maple syrup or homemade cinnamon syrup. This year I added a few more choices to the syrup menu.
